Free Heat
This wonderful little thing boosts the heat output of the fire wonderfully. It costs nothing to run is virtually silent (you can't hear it at all from more than 2 foot away). The day we put it on top of the fire, and for the first time in years, the room almost got too hot (least sufficiently hot for my wife to take her jumper off). If you have a multi fuel or wood burner I would recommend getting on for two of these fans, they will repay you within weeks due to the extra heat output.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Moves the heat to where you want it well, but a bit of hum and tick.
We've had it for about 3 weeks now and the woodburner was in use constantly over Christmas the Christmas break and every evening and weekend since. We bought it because it fits in the small gap above our woodburner, which is its USP. It works well in terms of distributing air from the wood burner which is in a confined space: The room is noticeably warmer in the bits that used to be too cool, and the space directly in front of the wood burner is less oppressively hot which is exactly what we hoped to achieve. The review elsewhere the says it generates no airflow is not consistent with my experience - it generates a gentle draft in front of the blades easily visible if you hold a strip of newspaper up to it. That gentle draft is enough to move the heat to where you want it to be! The main (only) issue we've had is it's a bit noisy. I'd expected it to be silent. If silent running is essential to you this probably isn't the product for you. If, like us, you can handle a bit of background humming/ticking then it's ideal. Made a big difference
our burner is in the minimum of spaces and has a canopy with only limited space above this fan is ideal and its footprint is small enough to sit on the canopy and being slimline fitted into the gap you cant hear it running but can certainly feel the difference in heat output. highly recommend if space is an issueVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
